Promito Musharraf Bhuiyan joined the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI) as a Senior Research Associate in October 2018. In July 2023, Promito assumed the additional responsibility of Programme Coordinator at the PRI Study Centre on Domestic Resource Mobilisation (CDRM). He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the School of Business and Economics (SBE) at North South University (NSU) in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2015, majoring in Marketing. While pursuing this Degree, Promito did an Internship at the Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL), working for the Solar Home System (SHS) Program under IDCOL’s Renewable Energy (RE) Department. He then earned a Master’s Degree in International Commerce and Policy with a concentration on Global Development and Governance in 2018, from the Schar School of Policy and Government (SSPG) at George Mason University (GMU) in Virginia, USA. Keen interest in topics such as economic development and international relations, combined with the passion for deeper analysis of these issues inspired Promito to pursue a career in the field of research.
