Ambassador Millam is a former senior US Diplomat and Specialist in South Asia and West Africa. He served as Ambassador to Pakistan (1998-2001), Ambassador to Bangladesh (1990-93), Chief of Mission to Liberia ( 1995-98) and Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Finance and Development (1985-90). From November 2002 to October 2018, he served as the Senior Policy Scholar of Asia program at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington DC.
