1st National Experts Group Meeting

PRI Study Centre on Domestic Resource Mobilisation

The first National Experts Group Meeting as part of the PRI Study  Centre on Domestic Resource Mobilisation was chaired by Dr. A. B. Mirza Azizul Islam, Former Advisor, Ministry of Finance, Caretaker Government of Bangladesh. Twelve other members of the group also participated in it. 

The meeting started off with a presentation on the PRI  Study Centre on Domestic Resource Mobilisation. The presentation highlighted the newly established Centre’s objectives and the role of NEG. It also illustrated how the PRI Study Centre on Domestic Resource Mobilisation plans to strengthen the reform effort of domestic resource mobilisation in the country, help the policymakers with evidence-based inputs and lessons from cross-country experience, and raise wider awareness about the importance of enhanced resource mobilisation. Through the presentation, NEG members were also requested to share their experience about the current state of revenue mobilisation efforts in the country and what research and advocacy the Centre can undertake to help contribute to the process.
