Hasan Al Banna

 

Hasan Al Banna is a Research Associate (RA) at the Policy Research Institute of Bangladesh (PRI). He previously served as a Research Intern at PRI, where he contributed to various projects in collaboration with institutions such as BBINS, IFPRI, and the World Bank. Banna holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Dhaka and is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in the same discipline.

Banna’s research interests include trade, macroeconomic policies, climate change, and green growth. In his role at PRI, he provides crucial research support across diverse domains, including trade and tariff policy, macroeconomic management, and private sector development. His responsibilities encompass participating in and supporting research initiatives, contributing to empirical work involving econometric analysis and estimation, assisting in the preparation of draft reports for PRI contracts with various agencies, and enhancing PRI’s database in assigned sectors.

Looking ahead, Banna aspires to pursue a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from a reputable international university. He aims to deepen his expertise in econometrics and policy analysis, contributing to sustainable economic development and addressing critical global issues.
