Dr. Rokonuzzaman’s work focuses on the potential of technology and innovation to create increasing wealth from depleting resources. His work on technology, innovation and policy started in Canada in 1990s, funded by Canadian and European Space Agencies. He advised multiple development projects funded by IFC, World Bank, ADB, UNDP, and ICT Industry. His research and advocacy work also focuses on policy and regulatory reforms to govern competition in the Telecom/ICT sector. Through 150+ op-eds, Dr. Zaman has shared views about unfolding issues related to technology, innovation and policy affecting wealth creation, jobs, and competitiveness. He has published 50+ articles, two book chapters and a book (Human and Machine in Rivalry). He is a Professor at North South University, Dhaka. He obtained M.Eng and Ph.D in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Robotics and Intelligent Systems from Memorial University, Canada. He began his career as a Lecturer at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) in 1988.
