Dr. Abdullah A. Dewan is a Professor of Economics at the Eastern Michigan University in Michigan. He completed B.Sc (Hons) and M.Sc in Physics from Dhaka University and M.S in Nuclear Engineering from North Carolina State University. He has also done his PhD in Economics from University of Kentucky. His specializations are Monetary/Macroeconomics and Time Series Econometrics. He has published numerous articles in widely referred scholarly journals including three in Review of Economics and Statistics of Harvard University. He is also a columnist of The Daily Star since 2005. He was formerly a Senior Scientific Officer of Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission. He is the Founder and Executive Editor of politiconomy.com and is also the President of Bangladesh Professional and Academic Society of America (BPASA).
